Line Style and Fill Effects

Most Notebook objects allow you to set a variety of Line Style effects (see table on page 150).

On page 35, we illustrated a gradient shade, which we used to shade the state of Illinois.  You can pull the image out of the Gallery (Essentials For Educators -> Geography -> Maps -> North America -> USA -> Pictures and Backgrounds).  Then touch Illinois to select it, and resize it as desired.

Touch the Properties tab, then touch the Line Style button, and select the line thickness and color you want for the Illinois outline.
