Books > Vol. 2 - Winning with Windows Notebook 10 > Chapter 4 info > Group and upgroup
You can Group or Ungroup items by marqueeing them and then grouping them. When you use your finger on the SMART Board and you draw a box around several items to collectively select them, you are drawing a “marquee.” Working at home using Notebook software on a computer WITHOUT a SMART Board interactive whiteboard attached, use your mouse to click the Select tool, then marquee (draw a frame around) the items you want to select.
Group (or ungroup) items with the Draw -> Group (Ungroup) menu command. You will probably find it more convenient to use the Object Menu to select commands for grouping items.
We use the grouping features a lot. In our “Mike’s Moneybox” notebook file (page 2), we created a cash box using rectangles grouped together to simulate a cash register drawer, and finished it off with infinite clones of money and coins. These were gathered from the U.S. Treasury and Mint websites, using the Screen Capture tool. |
