Books > Vol. 2 - Winning with Windows Notebook 10 > Chapter 4 info > Export a file as a PDF
When you Export a file as a PDF, you quickly create a Portable Document File format which can be read with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. We think of PDF as the “Rosetta Stone” of computer documentation. It’s on virtually everyone’s computer!
Export a PDF so you can email your Notebook lecture or post it to a web site. Click on the PDF style you want (in our case, Handouts) on the left side of this message box, and pull down to thumbnail size (medium) and a page of your PDF file will be displayed at the right. From a sixteen page Notebook file, you will create a six page PDF in under twenty seconds.
If you are using a Notebook file for a presentation, creating a PDF is a great way to print out handouts for your participants to use for their own note taking. It is also another way to put your class lecture notes on the Internet, or email them to students who have missed the lecture. |
