Epson install - wall mounted short throw projector
Run the VGA and projector power cable through the wall mount arm, and hang the arm onto the wall bracket. You may want to substitute a longer VGA cable (i.e. 15 foot cable if your computer is adjacent to the projector, 50 foot if in back of room) instead of using the VGA cable (blue hood) supplied with the Epson projector. You could also supply your own composite video cable if you want to run a VCR or DVD player into the projector. You could also supply audio cables (two RCA male for the composite video input) (one 3.5mm stereo mini male for computer), if you want to use the 10 watt speaker built into the projector.

Pull the projector arm out the correct distance, depending on the size SMART Board you have. Consult the installation manual for proper distance. The arm slides in and out, with measurements marked on the arm.

Slide the projector and its' mount plate onto the mount bracket on the end of the arm.

Secure in place with supplied screw.

Plug in the cables and install the cable management hood.

Install the mount arm endcap, and make initial adjustment of the projector angle as desired (nuts and bolts on swivel bracket, just to the left of the mount arm endcap).

Use a razor knife to cut a cable passthru on the decorative wall hood, at the location you desire, for routing cable.

Route cables through hole in wall hood and position into place.

Fasten wall hood to bracket and smile for a job well done. Finish up with a final adjustment of the projector, including proper angle adjustment on the projector mount. Use the projector remote to invert the image, making any electronic keystone or other image adjustments, and setting the lamp into whisper mode to conserve lamp life. Remember to install the USB cable between the SMART Board controller and your computer (currently shown looped around the top right corner of the SMART Board). |
