Harvey is a SMART exemplary educator who does training at NECC (Mathematics, the Brain and the SMART Board) and in school districts throughout the country. Math is his specialty. His SMART Notebook files are nicely illustrated, and highly creative. With 90 high quality Notebook files available for download from his site, Harvey is amazingly prolific. Most are mathematical, but there are utilities and games, too.

Harvey has the best SMART Board Jeapordy-style game that’s on the web. Find it in the Utilities section of his website.

Ginny Washburne works for SMART as a SMART Educational Consultant in Illinois. She is a highly enthusiastic SMART evangelist. Her website has some nice downloads, including several versions of Jeopardy (including some to review SMART Board concepts), other games, and SMART resource information.

The SMART Notebook Lesson Search engine works on the upper right of this page works with Google to search for SMART Notebook files using the keywords you describe. You can also download a few Notebook files on Earth Day, rules to start the school year out with, and a couple on math and science. Some of these Notebook files were created by SMART Exemplary Educators.

Tequipment is one of the country’s biggest SMART Board dealers. In less than two minutes, you can register on this New York dealer’s website and start downloading quality SMART Notebook files, Gallery collections and SMART Board tutorials created from the SMART Video Recorder.

This school district website has about 150 good quality math and science Notebook files which can be downloaded, in mathematics and science. There are a few language arts and social studies Notebook files. If you use the Firefox browser, some of the titles are cut off, but you can still download them. Use Internet Explorer for best results.

Scroll to the bottom of this page to find the SMART Notebook “Lessons and Templates” you can download. My favorite is the maps of North America (in Social Studies) where you can drag the state and province names onto the maps. When you click on “preview” for each download, you can see a representation of the Notebook file, which was created with “Export to Webpage…” feature of Notebook software.

This site has over 200 SMART Notebook files. They are pretty simple, but could be good to download and use as a “starter pack” to expand on to modify for your particular classroom needs.

Interactive Whiteboard Resources

This site contains about 100 SMART Notebook files for grades K-6. Most of these are very simple and were created in older versions of SMART Notebook. They are compressed files, and you need WinZip to extract the compressed files.
