Many Notebook Tools are controlled and accessed through the Welcome Center, the Floating Toolbar, and SMART Tools.  Most are designed to work with any application, not just SMART Notebook software.

Chapter 7 covers these tools, including using SMART’s Control Panel to orient the board and set pen tray colors and line thicknesses, hover characteristics, 80 point alignment, the digital ink layer, screen shade, spotlight, magnifier, calculator, pointer, SMART Recorder, Floating Tools, lock all AirLiners, lock all SMART devices, diagnostics, updates and help.

Windows only features, such as Ink Aware (and it’s use with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SMART Video Player are also covered.
